RealPage is a Great Place

Pros

I worked at RealPage a few years back and left thinking that the grass was greener elsewhere - boy was I wrong. Luckily I was able to get re-hired back last year and I could not be happier. Let me be the first to say that this is a GOOD company that gives great benefits vs. other companies and the products are actually dependable. I like being back, it was the best choice I have ever made. For people who say there are times when work-life balance is not great I just want to tell you that it is like that at other places too and at least here the pay is worth the work. It is actually worse in other companies in my opinion and I am so grateful to work at RealPage.

Cons

None but this field has a five word minimum. Maybe just bring back more options for health insurance but I know there is only so much you can do right now.

If you are popular you get invited to things.

Cons

If you are a woman and not popular especially with the men who work there good luck. Salary sucks for beginners .

Thank you for your post. I was struck by your headline, and thought wow she did not have the same experience so many other woman have had at RealPage. That's unfortunate. As I look around the organization you see so many women leading key functions of our business. There is a remarkable balance throughout the company. I can't ascertain whether you comments pertain to work or if they pertain to social events outside of work. I reviewed the male/female balance in our work place and it should be noted that we are 47.5% female. I also went back and reviewed the engagement survey scores on the segment of Respect and Recognition. Men scored 75% favorable and Women scored 73% favorable. On the dimension of Development Opportunities, Men scored 64% favorable and Women scored 67% favorable. I'm not seeing a negative pattern here. On Pay and Benefits, Men scored 60% favorable and Women scored 60% favorable. I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

If you like your hand held, and not much expected from you, this is the job for you. On the upside, I felt like RealPage respected that employees had a life, and they understood having a balance of work and home.

Cons

Low pay. There were few opportunities to stand out, go beyond my job. While my boss would tell me that she supported my desire to grow and move up, there was no real career development opportunities.

Thank you for your post, and I would agree with your advice. I'm glad you felt that RealPage respected your work life balance. Our implementations team is growing to try to keep up with all the new business coming in. While I don't know all the particulars from your post, I do know that several people in this function have taken on more accountability and have been rewarded. I sincerely wish you had experienced the type of career advancement you were looking for and hope that you find it in your next company. All the best. Kurt Twining
