Getting Better

Pros

Company trying to get better but still experiencing some growing pains. I believe HR and most management wants to do the right thing and they are moving the needle in the right direction in most departments.

Cons

Some departments continue to operate as if the company has 100 employees and not like a 'big boy' company. Work/life balance in my department is almost non-existent for most. I do not believe it is like this for all though.

Thank you for your post. What the focus is on is operational excellence. Alpha Metrics that can tell you the "so what" of your business. We are also continuing to consolidate like type functions such as engineering, implementation, QA, etc. That is where the change will continue to occur. Consider it like a magnet. We started with 64 products, moving in to solutions, now pin pointing process' to eliminate all duplication, which in turn will allow the top managers to take on more accountability. Once we get the process' aligned more efficiently the work life balance should smooth out in your department. You are correct, it is somewhat related to growing pains. Thanks Kurt Twining
