      Not a horrible place to work

      Pros

      Most of the people I worked with were very nice. There are lots of women in power positions in the company which makes it appear it is easy for a woman to get ahead, however the level of politics will keep you from advancing.

      Cons

      I was significantly under paid for this position, although it is my fault for not negotiating higher. Upon leaving, even the recruitment people admitted I was underpaid, and congratulated themselves for getting me for such a bargain. That's no way to keep people.

      Thank you for your post. We do have a lot of women in positions of leadership and deservingly so. That includes reporting to our CEO Steve Winn. A couple of things caught my eye on your post. Knowing that we review almost every promotion as a senior team, I'm not following your politics comment. A person's gender never comes up in these conversations. Having said that, I am really struggling with your last comment that the recruiters were congratulating themselves for getting you to work here for a bargain. That just does not make any sense to me, knowing how hard they work to find top notch people and they want people to stay and succeed. I will be following up on that comment today.       Thank you for your post. I appreciate your balanced comments. Your advice is spot on and we do have a company wide focus on performance improvement plans to ensure that we are hitting the objectives. Now are some managers better at following up than others - yes. Having said that I believe that average is awful, and we need to find every pocket of less than great performance and formally work on it. That is now happening through the engagement score process.       You'll collect a check... Although will probably be underpaid

      Cons

      Transparency is a big issue with this company. Direction changes every 6 months and management rotates quickly. Issues with management are company wide.... Too many departments lock you down and prevent you from moving up throughout the company unless you know the right people... I worked for at least 5 different managers during my time with Realpage and I'd endorse 1... maybe 2. None at the director level. Too many unqualified leaders hiring unqualified employees in my opinion...

The company as a whole continues to report marked progress towards our goals.
