Pros

-people are really nice and very motivated about the work -if you're good at your job and generally pleasant to be around, take feedback well, etc, then all the doors in the world will be open to you -HR is constantly looking at data for diversity to make sure we're hiring more women and people of color, and that we are paying and promoting fairly across the company -I joined the ERG for LGBTQ employees and it's such a lovely community! -Leadership wants local employees to be in office a couple days a week but there's a lot of flexibility for most roles as long as you are able to get your work done and collaborate well remotely -product is super cool and doing really well in the market!

Cons

I've seen some reviews saying there's no growth, HR doesn't listen, the workload is crazy, or other negative things -- if you communicate effectively and are a reasonable person and take steps to address the problems you're having, things will get better. if you just wallow and don't try to change anything you will continue to be miserable. Your work and your life is what you make of it, more things are in your control than you think. My workload could easily get out of hand, but I set boundaries, make sure to take time off, block off times for breaks, and if I don't have time to get things done, I talk to my manager and we find a solution. If I want to be promoted, I talk to my manager about what the next step would look like and what I need to accomplish to get there. I'm sure it varies from one team to another but I think a lot of the problems I've seen people talk about in other reviews could be solved with a conversation with their manager or HR.
