Pros

e culture. Everything at RV has a Silicon Valley feel. The dress code is relaxed and you may have to dodge a nerf dart or two. I would be remiss to not mention the basketball court, the bowling alley, the fitness class options, and the gym just to name a few. I love giving my friends a tour of the place because the campus is really cool. There is a lot of opportunity to advance your career to any path within the bu…

Cons

It's easy to get stuck in the mindset that you need to make a 4k+ comp check to be considered successful. Sales is a up and down deal. The bad days are stressful and the good days are elating. I have seen many an agent quit because they expected every day to be a windfall sales day. Celebrate the good days and learn to leave the bad days at work. Every missed sale is an opportunity to improve.

Pros

- Wonderful campus - Cheap coffee and lunches - Helpful team members

Cons

- No direct career path - Unless you're a developer, engineer or analyst, don't expect an average salary - Doesn't follow common-sense "best practices" - Cares more about money than the consumer

Pros

Great money Amazing people to work with Performance Managers take the time to get to know you and I genuinely felt like they cared about me You can not beat the culture On site food is good, can get old after a while but I generally found things I enjoyed ( I'm a vegetarian) If you are interested in a leadership position and you genuinely put forth the effort, you can do it Campus is amazing Food is provided atleast once a week Dress code is very relaxed, I could wear yoga pants and t-shirts or sun dresses (obviously within reason, but still, very few places you can do this) In-between calls you can color, chat with friends, do whatever you want, again, within reason, as long as you are prepared for the next call Often have friendly competitions where you can win money (or red coins....money to spend on amazon or on concert tickets, whatever you want really) Again, you CAN NOT beat the pay here. They will work with you on your schedule as long as you are there on time and show yourself to be consistent. Just DO NOT take advantage. I was on the RV Power team and I really think it is the best team to work, if you are on the phones

Cons

Work\life balance was very hard I lived an hour and 15 minutes away so that was very hard (which wasn't the companies fault, obviously) If you have children, in the beginning the schedules are terrible. I worked 2-11 for a while and was at 1-10pm for the remainder of my time there, by the time I was let go they were starting to move in more people, but towards the end it became hard to get there It can be grueling some days when it is higher volume and you get hit with call after call I noticed a slight decline in the amount of money you could make in our commission plan every month. Seemed like they were trying to make it harder and harder to make money. Like with any job, you have to make sure you are in a positive mind set going into the day, this job especially requires that. The one that I want to stress most is the work/life balance. They really do want you in and on the phones a lot. Always stressing overtime and asking for extra hours here and there.
