There’s a lot of responsibility in managing production, especially when unexpected challenges pop up, but it keeps me sharp and constantly improving as a leader. 3. The role is very hands-on, and while it can be physically and mentally draining some days, I enjoy that it keeps me active and engaged instead of sitting behind a desk. 4. Turnover does happen in this industry, but it also gives me the chance to coach, train, and develop new team members, which is rewarding when I see them succeed. 5. Because ice is an essential product, there’s little room for error. That pressure can be tough, but it also gives me a sense of pride knowing the work we do is important and dependable for our customers.
