Pros

good for scientists but support functions are suffering. bonus is great salary is comparable to other biotechs. this is a good place if you are entry level. management cares about learning aspect only if you are lower level. if you are in mid management roles you will not get much out of your career. you will not learn or grow. all your purpose is to make sure analysts learn and enjoy their life.

Cons

no advancement. no movement to other roles. management has favorites and promotion is not based on objectivity ( hard work late nights/ weekend work, innovation, getting proposals on the table don’t matter) if management for some reason don’t like you, doesn’t matter how good you are. micro management is at the highest. no trust or authority given. if you are not looking to grow or if you have no expectations for your career then this is the place. bureaucracy at the highest given the size. things don’t move along people who are longer with the company resist change. they like to do as they have always done it. stay quiet and do as told and don’t think much then this is the place to be happy. 401k is the worst, pays with company stock always at a higher price, doesn’t vest immediately, stock options are worthless for a long time

Pros

Lots of opportunity, transforming company in a growth phase so lots to do and one can run with what they’re given

Cons

In IT morale is low because leadership is lacking. The person heading the department lacks the leadership skills necessary to nurture and retain the best talent. Good people are thinking about leaving and the worst are just biding their time until their stock options vest. A truly talented leader could turn things around here but I don’t see any signs that will happen.
