There is a huge CON. They are very productivity driven. The expectation is 90% or above. I have a full-time position at a nursing facility but my caseload fluctuates greatly. So if my caseload drops to 25 hours of work for example, I am expected to leave the building pronto when I am finished. So for me, it's really more like a PRN job. Good thing I don't use their insurance benefits. The area managers are so fixated on productivity that my boss hears about it the NEXT DAY when my productivity is "low". There have been days when my caseload was low and I stayed in the building for about 4 hours. The next day, my manager will get an email message that says something along the lines of "I see that her productivity was only 81% yesterday. She needs to get this up to 90%." There's no concern for the fact that I only worked half a day even though I'm a full-time employee.
Because of their practices, there is no program development that goes on in the building. That would be UNproductive.
