Growing company with tons of opportunities

Pros

Relias offers a lot of great things that a lot of other companies don’t have - a great culture, good people and a mission that we are helping the most vulnerable people in society. We are a part of a huge, global 180 year old parent company, so while we are only a few years old, we have stability, support and resources. We also have huge growth plans, so career opportunities are there. Relias provides tons of training opportunities, so you can always learn and grow.

Cons

Relias has existed for less than 3 years so there are going to be growing pains. Things are fluid and changing, so someone who likes the same thing day in and day out would not be a good fit. Relias is best for a go getter who is resourceful, ceases opportunities and doesn’t sit back. While comp may be average, we have a free gym onsite, everyone is eligible for a bonus, we have an awesome 401k and perks like free fruit, so I look at the whole picture. Since there is no cap on commissions, money should not be an concern if you are a good sales person. We even have a dedicated sales coach to help make us successful.

A year in, I love my job

Pros

I love being part of this fast-moving, growing company. As a member of the leadership team, I'm able to shape the corporate culture, frame the strategy for the piece of the business I'm responsible for, and make decisions that directly impact the day-to-day work I and my team do. I left a Fortune 100 company to move to Relias, and would make the shift again in a hot second. The very structured onboarding process makes learning the company history, products, and department structure easy -- plus having a group of people share your two-week bootcamp gives you an instant cadre of contacts. I love the creative energy, the office space, and absolutely the free fruit and wellness programs.

Cons

This SMB has a smaller benefits package than that at my previous employer, and I did take a salary and vacation cut to join -- that said, I gained a job where work/life balance is real, where I laugh every day, and where I can see an amazing growth period ahead.

Thank you for the in-depth review. We love to hear when employees are enjoying their experience and are happy they made the switch to join Relias. You are accurate in saying that this is a fast-moving, growing company. It's been that way since Day 1 and continues to be in growth mode. Our new hire onboarding process has gotten a lot of great reviews over the years. New Relians love to see the company dedicate all that time to their development. Enjoy the work/life balance and keep laughing every day! Thanks again!

Pros

I’ve been with Relias for over a year and half now and was promoted several months ago. The company has grown like crazy and is a very fast-paced environment. Has a very positive atmosphere as a vast majority of employees believe the company is making a positive impact on people’s lives. There’s a lot of opportunity to develop and move up into new roles within and across different departments if you’re a hard worker. Mgmt is highly available an often very hands-on with staff. The executive team does well to provide constant communication and updates throughout the entire company. Overall: High growth organization, great culture, good benefits, a lot to be excited about.

Cons

Pay could be better. Rapid growth left some areas of the organization a little behind. My first position didn’t have much initial training, but the second position had a pretty in-depth training process

Thanks for the positive feedback and constructive advice. Sorry to hear about your initial role not having a robust training plan. We'll certainly develop those programs further as we grow. Hopefully you were able to take away some helpful information from your first 2 weeks in "Corporate Boot Camp"! Should you need any additional support please feel free to contact us at recruitment@reliaslearning.com.
