Not a good company at the moment

Pros

Flexible days meaning you don’t have the spend the whole work day in the office, nice office with 321 coffee, incredible coworkers

Cons

The company is doing constant layoffs and restructuring. Leadership has said they are missing their target revenue year after year. It’s hard to keep up with what the overall strategic vision is. It really is a culture of fear at the company where everyone is afraid to speak up because it could make them a target for the next rounds of layoffs. Pretty much everyone I work with, including myself, are job-hugging right now while trying to look for other jobs because they’re terrified about being cut next. Lots of favoritism. The hybrid work policy is strictly enforced and badge swipes are calculated at the end of each quarter. It’s sad because this place used to be great, but now it’s horrible with little likelihood of improving their sinking ship.

Pros

Good benefits Individual Contributors are incredibly hard working and very passionate about their jobs and our customers

Cons

Constant mass layoffs leaves everyone fearful for job security and unknown if they will be next. Too much AI usage. Nothing feels authentic anymore. Constant restructuring and for some reason leadership keeps changing direction each month, it seems. It gets overwhelming trying to keep up with the changes. Not to mention every department is so understaffed, employee morale has been severely affected. It’s a constant state of stress with the feeling of no light at the end of the tunnel. Management and leadership say there is a light coming, and to give it time, but it’s been years and nothing has changed. There’s no recognition for hard work and no bonuses. They say there are bonuses, but not sure how true that is. The harder you work, the only thing you get is burnout and more work thrown on your plate because you prove to be a hard worker. But in the end, regardless if you are an overachiever or do the bare minimum, everyone gets the same 3% raise. Why work harder if we all get the same raise in the end? Pay is low. Promotions get promised, but then the opportunities never come to light. So you’re constantly overworking yourself for the empty promises. Some managers seem to have a double standard, being harsher with their hard working employees and showing more favoritism towards employees who don’t want to do more than the bare minimum.
