Pros
There's a strong culture of transparency and open communication. I have always been impressed at how team goals and performance are communicated across all teams, decision-making criteria is always public, and information is shared across the company. Other pros include: energetic, motivated, passionate individuals to work with; strong mission to help transit agencies and government in general; active engagement with customers; opportunity to build your personal brand and voice;
Cons
Working at a start-up is busier than my past roles as a consultant and in government and often your responsibilities change with the growth of the company (both a pro and a con).
