Pros

Remote offers a great platform to work for another employer remotely from several countries. This is particularly handy for employers who have employees wishing to migrate to another country or simply manage a team of employees in various different countries. The day-to-day running of things works usually pretty smoothly.

Cons

Since bureaucracy and legislation can differ greatly in different countries it can be really tricky for Remote to accommodate for location specific needs. Partly to mitigate this they also use third party payroll providers, which can further complicate the communication should something go wrong.

Pros

- What you see in the public handbook is what you get - the company is true to its values and work practices documented there; - Great mission that really resonates; - Chance to work with kind and talented people from around the world who care about what they do; - The best work flexibility you can get - you don't just work remotely but also async, which gives you freedom to prioritise your personal life first, and do your best work in the hours that suit you; - Pragmatic engineering culture - no Scrum, no ceremonies, no meetings, just focus on the execution and what's important; - And many more: great diversity and inclusion which is contunously improving; good benefits; focus on mental health; you can really connect and socialise with people; etc. etc. can carry on.

Cons

- Highly collaborative and high performance culture is probably not for everyone - you have to enjoy being autonomous, taking iniatitive, and continously adapting and learning
