So many fake reviews

Pros

Flexibility of remote working, but is definitely not async

Cons

Sooo many problems in this company. Inexperienced and genuinely unpleasant & fake senior management. Only lip service paid to employee satisfaction, when issued raised they do nothing. People are there to be used up. Founders only looking to get to IPO to cash out, and not actually develop best practices (or even fully compliant practices) in most areas. Have started hiring only in low paid countries, and are reliant on people who need remote role to be limited with other options once they realise what it is really like to work at Remote. Before I left I hear of quite a few people being asked to add 5 star reviews on here, to counteract the genuine poor reviews. The place is a cesspool, Avoid if you have any self respect

Very Toxic

Pros

Fully remote. Flexibility, but hard to take advantage of because of the crippling workload. Many ICs and mid-managers are fantastic.

Cons

Seemingly random layoffs, no vision, knee-jerk panic to carry out very menial and reactive work, no data-focus, and just all-round toxic. The threat of losing your job is the main motivation tool. Getting promoted is virtually impossible unless you get along with the right people. Performance reviews are political and not at all objective. Those that can talk the talk and do optics well get ahead. Many bright stars seem to be a threat to leadership, and have learned to keep to themselves. Those that work well and have a real impact get stuck at the same level. This is a very uncomfortable environment to be part of.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We are glad you value the flexibility of working fully remotely and the contributions of so many talented teammates across Remote. We know that times of change can create uncertainty, and we regret that your experience has felt uncomfortable. Remote has grown quickly, and with that growth we are continuing to refine how we set priorities, measure performance, and create clearer paths for development. We want people to feel supported and recognized for their impact, and we are focused on strengthening both transparency and consistency in how we operate. While we may not agree with every point you raise, we take feedback seriously and remain committed to building a stronger company culture.

Pros

- Remote working - Nice & intelligent co-workers

Cons

In my whole working career this is by far the worst company I've ever worked for. On my second day of being with the company someone got let go, I should have seen the red flags from the start. - Micromanaging! Be prepared for them to listen to all of your calls even though they hire you as a Senior Account Executive - You will be threatened about your job every week - The products you are selling don't even work and are not needed by businesses - Just a nice to have - I was there for around 6 months and in that time I saw not one single person hit their quota and the quotas are made up without any data behind it - Daily pointless and unproductive meetings that add zero value - You won't earn any commission - No commission while you are RAMPING (Unheard of at a tech company) The management team haven't got a clue. They're unable to take feedback from the reps and just always revert back to KPIS even though the whole ORG has been missing for nearly a year! Two other people left after me and they will be left with no team if they continue to treat people the way they are. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS WOULD BE MY ADVICE.
