Toxic culture - avoid

Business Outlook

Pros

- The "normal" people are really good people and try their best - Geniunely remote working

Cons

- Toxic senior leadership. Allowed to publicly be rude and dismiss lower levels on Slack. No consideration for how people might take the feedback. - More focused on customers churning or moving from competitors than the actual product - No movement in product in what feels like 2 years. Focused on all of the wrong things - Absolutely clueless leadership. Have gone from a potential player in the game to an afterthought at best. Hide behind performance culture but doesn't seem to apply to the actual bad performers (Directors and above)

Pros

Working remotely, unlimited PTO, global exposure

Cons

Culture of favoritism, toxic coworkers, bullying and gaslighting (yes, even in a remote environment!), politics, low pay, performance bar always getting higher, take employees for granted and value customers more, no career growth opportunities, lack of transparency despite that having been a value

Thank you for submitting your feedback, it is indeed appreciated. We’re glad you enjoyed some of the perks of Remote like the chance to work alongside people around the world. We are truly sorry to hear you had these negative experiences while working here. While we won’t ever apologize for valuing customers, no team member should ever feel taken for granted, so your feedback will be shared with management. As a current employee you’ll know that we are implementing some changes to Total Rewards, Job Leveling, and Career Paths. We encourage you to take a look at the information available and discuss your concerns about your specific situation further with your manager.

Instable and not Reliable

Business Outlook

Pros

You can work from wherever you want in the world.

Cons

In my opinion, this Company is not reliable: In 8 months of work, my contract (and salary) was modified twice. They are very vocal on social media and very loud about their company values and how they value their people, but then they fire more than 100 people in a few hours without any notice because of miscalculation of company needs/ market potential and overhire of hundreds of people more than needed - and offer the lowest severance required by law. Orrible experience.
