Pros

Some field employees (laser techs) are kind, though interaction between studios and/or HQ is limited.

Cons

Management is riddled with false promises and self-serving actions, at the expense of lower-level employees. If you voice concerns or reach out to the barely-existent, externally contracted HR, they will usher your issues under the rug or fire you. Very few issues have been handled with care. Middle management and upper management have the same management style: over-work the lower level teams and ignore any issues that might arise. There is no upward mobility throughout the company, particularly if you are a salaried or HQ employee. Very few people of color throughout the company. None in leadership positions. Disjointed communication throughout the company, both on local levels and international levels. Additionally, the company has asked their employees to leave false positive Glassdoor reviews in order to bury the negative experiences many current and former employees have experienced. Be wary of those, they are quite obvious when you read them. Turnover is ridiculously high. HQ hosts a hostile and isolating environment. Egregious and unfair pay. Will promise bonuses and fail to deliver. Do not trust any leadership or management member.

Pros

Nothing, the pay was decent I guess

Cons

Everything else, terrible commission structures-impossible to make commission, encouraged to lie to clients about taking out loans, zero care from management, no raises, discouraged from taking time off, overbooking appointments and it’s your job to clean up other people’s messes, I could go on…

Pros

The work itself is amazing and there are some good people who work there.

Cons

It’s hard to even know where to begin. Laser specialists are given two weeks of training - that’s all. Then they are sent into extremely busy studios and are expected to keep up with the heavy workload. A lot of the studios are so backed up with treatments because their laser specialists end up leaving due to being overworked and underpaid. While maintaining busy schedules, they are also expected to upsell clients in the treatment room and do consultations. Sales consultants are double and triple booked every day of the week. Removery will ignore state labor laws, make their team members work through busy days and not allow them to put rest breaks on their schedules. Consultants are expected to make sales to meet ridiculous metrics while their training consists of predatory sales tactics. HQ and senior leadership will continuously get complaints from studios and they still choose to ignore any issues. Every year they cut costs more and more and they refuse to give employees raises. But every year the entire senior leadership team goes on a trip to Cancun to “celebrate the company’s success”. Meanwhile their studio employees are not allowed to take PTO during an entire week in November, or when they do decide to take PTO, they feel guilty leaving their one or two team members alone in studio to handle rescheduling everyone on your books. The inside sales team is set up to work against the studios. They are told it’s okay to overbook their consultants with anyone who answers the phone. They pressure people into coming in for consults when they could easily refer them to the website. Yet the sales consultants are the ones at fault for the client not buying that same day. The hourly wage is just good enough to make you stick around because you feel trapped. The bonus structure is always changing and truly never makes any sense. At the end of the day; Removery has the opportunity to be a really amazing business. But they choose to only focus on money and their social media presence rather than the well being of the people who keep their business afloat.
