Pros

Pay & the ability to rise through the ranks. If you work hard and are dedicated, you can go as far as your talents will take you.

Cons

Time; there is not enough time to work at RAC and have a family also. In my experience, RAC wanted no liability for bending the rules, but it was implicitly encouraged so numbers were achieved. If numbers were achieved, you had no issues with your superiors; but if you missed the numbers, suddenly the rules applied to you and your crew. I always heard an emphasis on training and learning more, but in practice there was none available to the employees.

Pros

None. Only the desperate would consider this industry. 6 day workweeks and no time off begin your journey followed by long hours and constant beat-downs from management. Then comes the exciting part: attempting to collect past due balances on rental furniture given to the lowest of the low, in some of the most dangerous, third-world type nieghboorhoods you can imagine.

Cons

'Thugs' in management, high expectations, unsavory clientele, zero HR assistance, 6 day workweek, hostile environment, dirty conditions, dangerous nieghboorhoods where you chase payments or merchandise on a weekly basis, heavy lifting expected of all employees, unsavory co-workers who will steal anything, etc....

Pros

The pay is good for someone who doesn't have a lot of experience in the job market yet. Each day is different and can be a fun challenge.

Cons

Unless you like spending most of your waking hours at work, look elsewhere. Also, there is a mentality of "what have you done for me lately" when it comes to hitting their goals. If you don't match or beat them, even if you have for the previous 2 years, then you are a worthless person in their eyes. There's a lot of quick rewards available but they are even quicker to disown you.
