Pros

The majority of the employees want to make a difference and help the company grow

Cons

The leadership is weak. The senior management for stability is a micromanager who belittles and degrades others points fingers( to hide her errors) and uses the senior title for power. I was employed for a total of 8 months. 8 months I was there but within the first week I saw the company for what it was. The company doesn’t care about its employees - just the data. They push everyone that comes in the door out if they are different minded. They “offer” a diverse culture but don’t actually allow diversity to flow. For those who are left - if there’s any left in QC they overwork them and push them out as well. The Senior leadership will remind you in morning team meetings how you are all replaceable incase you forget. The VP of the company is two-sided , will pretend to want to fix the problems but not actually change anything. This company will tell you they’re all about work/life balance- but they will write you up while you’re out with covid on the leave they placed you on. This company is by far the absolute worst company I could have ever worked for. I recommend it to no one. Rentschler you give a terrible representation of what the biotech industry is. The company will never change or get better with any of the current senior leadership , that’s a given . I highly recommend reading every review from employees before thinking about onboarding with this company. Moving forward I think you should eliminate the leaders who aren’t capable of working with a team rather than eliminate the players who did their job properly, and constantly tried to help this dysfunctional company . THIS COMPANY IS NOT WORTH IT .

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Unfortunately it sounds as if some managers are "the company". I believe I remember our conversation (if I am guessing correct) about leadership behavior. Our site in the US is in transition of a major change from a single-product site to a multi-product site. One of the reasons for this decision was to make everyone's employment less dependent on a single product. This comes along with additional tasks for the same amount of people and time -for a certain period- until we are able to have capacities adjusted. In this period of time responsibilities change, degree of division of labor rises, processes change ... all meaning: Behaviors need to change, too. Can our people managers improve their behavior? Yes, absolutely. Precondition is the ability to self-reflect and take a view from different perspectives. However, this skill or willingness is not only needed by our people managers but from each and everyone in the company! We wish you all the best for your future and hope you will find the right employer for your set of expectations. At the same time we feel sorry this obviously was not Rentschler Biopharma for you.

Pros

decent location, good employees to work with

Cons

The absolute worse work environment ever experienced. if you have any kind of life, this is not the place for you. Aging equipment, misappropriated the funding, over extended themselves to build the new facility. Sr. leadership: doesn't care about anyone but themselves and will throw anyone under the buss. There is zero, absolutely zero respect for work life balance or employees dedicated to the company. The leadership team is more concerned about meeting some fake metric, that doesn't measure anything significant or impactful. They don't care about the culture, or providing what the teams need. for a small company, your nothing more than a number, and unfortunately treated as such.

Of course we are not happy to read that you felt that bad working at our company and we are very sorry we could not stay in good memories. We will try our best that this does not happen anymore and would be very thankful to get some ideas for improvement before we have to read poor judgements on the internet.

Pros

The teams and people are amazing and trying their best to keep the place going and work extremely hard.

Cons

The SLT is out of touch with the reality of what's going on no matter how many times and people tell them and then they blame the management level under them causing them to leave and the employees left with no support. Everything is a top priority, so people get crushed under the amount of work and it's expected. There's not enough people to do the work and yet they keep adding more and more without growing the groups to what's needed. New people and new management come in to help fix the issues and get shut down left and right so they get frustrated and leave after a year. This site can't retain people. It's heading in the wrong direction and getting worse instead of better.
