Pros

Benefits are amazing, and planes are comfortable and spacious for a regional aircraft. Has a lot of potential.

Cons

flight hour pay is very low, they start off at 17.45 per hour, that sounds good to most, but what they don't tell you is that you will be paid per FLIGHT hour, so you are only paid while the aircraft is moving. We are guaranteed 75 hours a month on reserve . Whether you fly or not. We barely fly 50 hours a month. ( the reason for the guarantee. ) so before taxes and benefits are taken out you will make 1308.00 a month . 16-19,000.00 a year give or take if you pick up on your off days and the per diem helps as well. It's a good job, but you have to be flexible with the company, and know it's going to be financially rough for a couple years, but will get better after year two or three.

Pros

Love the free flights and ability to have lots of time off. Flying is rarely boring and the long days "fly" by. You don't have a boss looking over your shoulder. When you're off from work, you rarely need to think about it. No work brought home.

Cons

The pay is pretty close to minimum wage when you factor in how much time you spend at work but not accumulating flight hours. You could be scheduled to be home by 4pm but because of delays/cancellations you return home at 10pm with no extra pay to show for it. That hurts.

Pros

Amazing coworkers, Good for those who need a check to get by, until the next big break, or someone who is retired looking to travel.

Cons

Can't live on our salary. Don't be sidetracked by the "26.00 per hour" for those unfamiliar with the industry we are paid per FLIGHT hour, very big difference. 100 hundred flight hours per month equals close to 200 physical hours working, only being paid for the time the aircraft is moving. This program called exceed which is nothing more than a pep rally, has a backfiring effect on most of the Flight attendants as the company tries to tell you how important you are then turn around and give you a bag of candy from the dollar store and a little keychain that says republic that was made in China, we are not children, we are adults with real-life problems that require a halfway decent wage and other benefits like a humane payraise perhaps... something more than 20,000 per year. Yes we knew this when we were hired ( what we were going to make) however most of us didn't know that we would have to pay for our own uniforms, the cost of food on layovers, extra medical bills that our insurance will not pay for, because most have flown to the point of exhaustion, and their response is, " oh well we'll just give you an occurrence " . Our union is pointless, I blame most of our problems on them. I also think it's absurd that we should pay 38.00 a month in dues, when the union isn't able to answer phone calls, back their employees, makes employees cry, screams at employees. Going through round two of the new TA , the last was turned down because they wanted to only give us a 0.5 cent raise, and charge extra for union dues which would have resulted in a pay cut. If only people at this organization were fair...this could have been something special in the air.
