Pros
Trips are fun and I've met some awesome people working here. I love being a flight attendant, especially on this aircraft type, but I regret not waiting on a different airline.
Cons
If I knew anyone applying here, I would discourage them. •$18000 a year IS NOT LIVABLE. •Union contract is from 2013. •Company will not provide a livable pay raise because they know being a flight attendant is a desirable job and there's no shortage of applicants. •Probation period is 9 months. •You will live off savings and credit cards. •Bases are in mostly non-hub cities, so crashpads can be almost impossible to find. •Bases IN hub cities are too expensive to afford on a Republic flight attendant's salary. •Company would rather cycle through new hires than encourage people to stay. •Company will give you deadhead legs in an UBER. These trips can be multiple hours long, sometimes by yourself, and sometimes at night/in inclimate weather. •Several bases do not give new hires trips right out of training. Multiple people I've spoken to waited for weeks after passing their IOE period for a trip. •Some bases (IND, CMH, SDF, PIT) are not easily commutable.
