Pros

IT People are knowledgeable, dedicated and easy to work with 7.5h / day is great 4 weeks PTO and sick leave on the 1st year is very good The building is located in a nice area with plenty of options for lunch and close to the freeway

Cons

The leadership of the IT department has serious issues: priorities are not set, no mid-term or long-term vision, no communication, no planning, no recognition to employees Medical plan is not great Slow paced company Type of management from the late 70's: monarchy Socializing with colleagues is strongly discouraged

Pros

Easy company - deadlines flexible, not demanding, short hours

Cons

Politics - Unfair and biased treatment towards women and lack of progress for women in certain department No recognition based on merit, it's based on who your manager is and if they like you which is very juvenile If you don't agree with everything and become a "yes man" then you will never grow in the department People are not encouraged to have progressive thinking, group brainstorming or any form of team building Management would rather give salary increases to contractors than full time employees Bad management in general from the top down, no accountability Very little communication between departments - us vs them mentality Old fashioned mindsets, people who've never worked anywhere else and could never succeed at another company
