Pros
Great Pay. Ok people. Great employee benefits. Personal days, Free uniforms. Paid holidays. All the things that make you want to apply to a company.
Cons
The bad... Well if you don't sip the kool aid from the Jenison, MI office. Be prepared for the long days under the constant pressure of the management to just get it done, because they let go 10 drivers in the last 3 months some of which for the most petty of matters like: telephone wires overhead even though most of their vehicles are 13'6. Which is exactly why semi trucks aren't allowed in residential areas. Driving on the edge of lawn in areas that don't have curbs, yes that will be a write up that will get your supervisors to shake their heads with disgust at your ignorance. Finally, only the chosen few survive being in fender benders here. Some people can hit cars on the shoulder of roadways, even run into objects head on at the dump site without being disciplined much less terminated. Until they use a company vehicle to go to court and then get locked up for unpaid fines. Then you get terminated for no call no shows. Varies by case. This place with its current management is laughable. Policies in place to keep you as a driver safe are constantly ignored because there's customers we service that you can compromise for as long as your careful. Safety first only applies to management ensuring that they keep their jobs because they know there's an endless supply of drivers who need to provide a life for their families. So in my conclusion of my employment with this company, the money is good while you can earn it. People come and people go. My suggestion is if you have a family I wouldn't put too much stock in keeping a job here.
