In Need of reasonable expectations

Pros

Generally easy to get in because the bar, as well as pay, is low.

Cons

Stopped my insurance although I was still billed $276/mo for premiums. Truck robbed and vandalized in parking garage with no evidence (no cameras or security checks). Profit took full precedence over quality care.

Pros

Excellent trauma center with very capable staff. Hardworking employees who care about the health of their patients. Challenging opportunity where a lot can be learned.

Cons

Corporate environment where decisions are made from the top down. If you like to work "outside the box" and have strong opinions on what needs to change, you will be frustrated.

Pros

On my floor: I have AMAZING coworkers. Our Internists are the best. They not only know what they are doing but they are good to the staff as well.

Cons

Like any other hospital: Turn over rate is crazy high, no matter what they say.. I'm pretty sure they don't count the people who quit before they are even off orientation because the numbers don't add up. The reason they quit and the reason turnover is so bad is because they don't staff us very well AT ALL.
