Pros

Generally great people who are friendly. Fantastic outcome for patients. A very good takeover target for a company that could run this engine effectively.

Cons

Egotistical senior leadership - do not know the value of a great employee. If you have an idea, don't bother bringing it to the table, and don't dare challenge one of the senior decision-makers or you'll be out of a job. If you are yes-man or yes-woman, then you will do great here. There are an anointed few that get all the opportunity - and they are anointed by a very, very small minority. Wasteful with money. They got lucky with a great product that brings massive profits, but now price cuts are hitting the US, watch the profits drop off. Unethical - internal leaks from their "confidential" ethics hotline. No alignment

Pros

Beautiful Site, Great Product, Passionate employees

Cons

Leaders who have grown up with the company have received unmerited promotions, however lack basic capability at their level. Their inadequacies leave them threatened by "outsiders". The result in a deep seated culture of favoritism and bullying that is maintained by leadership.

Thanks for your feedback on our great environment, great products, and the passion of our amazing people. Thanks also for your critical feedback on leadership and embracing people and ideas from outside. Our philosophy is that leadership is not about hierarchy, but stepping-up to the greatest extent of our own capabilities, so you can lead from anywhere on a team, not just as a people manager. We don’t tolerate bullying so stop by and see me with specifics of that behavior and we can resolve that. My experience is that not being happy with a manager relationship is very personal, so I would ask that you work on trying to understand how to better interact with your direct manager: Nupur or any of our people management team can help with tools and techniques. If that doesn't work, another option is to find another team within the company where your skills, capabilities, and people-style can let you better contribute to our mission. We are evolving here at ResMed, and I’d love for you to help drive that – find the best place for you to lead, and for you to step-up and help!

Pros

The average employee is great, just don't expect them to stay long. Benefits are excellent as well.

Cons

If you're thinking of joining the team - beware. The people that succeed are proficient at playing the political game. Another round of layoffs occurred with more expected to come. As an observation, many leaders lack the adequate skill and background for the role they're in so it makes employees feel like there is no real leadership or mentoring. That, coupled with the frequent layoffs, people are always on edge waiting for their walking papers so why would anyone be motivated to work hard? Another negative is nepotism runs very deep and is unhealthy for the departments they affect. HR lacks discretion and has inappropriate relationships with employees so there's no where to go when you have an issue. There is no work/life balance anymore, many folks have to work 50-60 hour weeks to keep up with the amount of work.
