Pros

Remote work with one day per week spent in the office Some colleagues are friendly and approachable Enjoyable staff social events and generous time off during the Christmas period

Cons

Excessive emphasis on technical knowledge over cultural fit, resulting in some staff being rude and unapproachable—and their poor behaviour is tolerated because of their expertise. Senior leaders often neglect basic courtesies, such as greeting employees, despite their leadership roles. Management lacks focus on training and developing employees, expecting growth to be entirely self-driven.

Generally a good company. Some niggles as always!

Pros

Great colleagues. Company generally is well focused on what it does and where it wants to go. Working environment (desks, computers etc) are generally modern. A good thing is that everyone is in open-plan, even the CEO.

Cons

The Derby HQ is on Pride Park. If you drive, it's a nightmare at rush hour, especially if the weather is bad. Lack of meeting rooms for when you need them. Company has about ~180 people so if you're looking to progress into higher levels of management there the opportunities will be fairly rare.

Pros

Generous pay & benefits, flexible office locations, hybrid working, some of the individual contributors are very knowledgeable, skilled and helpful.

Cons

Poor management and organisation - constantly shifting goals and priorities due to a bloated management layer and not enough resources for actually getting the work done.
