Poor Management

Pros

The pay was decent and the flexibility to make your own schedule.

Cons

The management team was absolutely poor. The first manager was phenomenal, in fact that is the only reason I took the job. Then the has been football star CEO that reminds me of a MLM type of motivational speaker decided to clean house and put fancy pants in his position demoting the original manager. Sadly when fancy pants came along all he did was smoke cigarettes and talk on his phone brown nosing the older female manager. Our team would ask several times for him to put together the data for a restaurant and after repeated attempts we ended up figuring out how to unprotect the sheet and do it ourselves. Then they wondered why we couldn’t meet our quotas but we had ZERO support. Then there was the honey badger of the district. This woman would swoop in after you had met and swooned the owners and sneak in getting the paperwork signed and taking ALL the credit! It was unbelievable! It happened to several people in ththe district and they just turned a blind eye! She had ZERO sales experience she was overbearing among many other hygiene issues. Yet they just let it happen!

Thank you for this feedback. After five years with Restaurant Technologies, you must have experienced many changes in your department and in the company overall. We recently established Regional Leadership Teams to improve communication and problem solving between departments, which employees say has been a positive change. We would be interested in learning more about your experience, and ways we can continue to improve. If you have suggestions, please email us at rticareers@rti-inc.com.

Pros

Great people and benefits 401k, life insurance, wellness program. Work and life balance good for the most part. Community involvement.

Cons

Poor employee development and infusture challenges. There are big communication gaps between departments and knowledge gaps due to turnover and rushed decision making.

This is valuable feedback. Thank you for taking the time to comment. We are proud of our Wellness program, Community Giving (ask about the Sandwich Project) and competitive benefits overall. Employee engagement continues to be a priority at Restaurant Technologies, and as a rapidly growing company, there will always be room to improve. Recently, we had an enthusiastic group of leaders in Minnesota for our Foundations of Leadership workshop. This group did an amazing job of enhancing their leadership skills and growing their company knowledge. At the same time, many of our Delivery Service Drivers were here for training, as well. Both groups had dinner together at the Corporate office, which gave everyone a chance to meet some new people and develop better relationships. If you have further comments or suggestions, please email us at rticareers@rti-inc.com.

Pros

Competitive starting salary is the only real benefit this company offers

Cons

This company has taken away all our bonuses in 2017-2018. You get no bonus anymore. They also give low raises 1-2%..... it’s nothing. Before this company was taking care of their employees but not any longer. Management here only works for themselves. Trucks are broken and they don’t fix to save money and get bigger bonuses for their pockets. They are cheap and greedy.

Thanks for commenting. To clarify, all of our positions have a bonus component which is dependent on meeting your personal goals and the organization meeting corporate goals. Merit increases are also based on performance. Many of our employees enjoyed substantial bonus this year thanks to their own contributions and the continuing success of the company.
