Pros

Even though the product is now pre-AI and needs to be completely rebuilt to be AI native, the concept of the product is interesting.

Cons

The founders hire low quality c-suite people. Some recent turnover: - Over the past year, many key GTM people have left, including: The Head of Support, the CRO (now at Replit), the Head of Sales, numerous RVPs, Head of Sales Enablement, Head of Rev Ops, and many of the top salespeople. - Since the new head of product joined in H2 of last year, most of the product managers decided to leave - Data/Resources eng team is now hiring for it's 4th eng manager in the last 12 to 18 months - Workflows team is on it's 3rd eng manager in the last 12 to 18 months - Engineering leader for applications left - Engineering leader for the app manager left - Engineering leader for Runtime left - Head of Product Design left around 18ish months ago - Head of Engineering was just let go - Person on the product data team left CTO and CEO are emotional and do "founder mode" in an ineffective way.

Pros

* Good office * Good engineering talent * Good WLB and unlimited PTO

Cons

* Constant employee attrition. Just save yourself trouble and don't join here unless you want to experience 75% attrition * Stingy founders, valuation is a lie. They won't raise again because the valuation will fall to 800M from 3.2B. Ask your recruiter about growth rate of revenue and current revenue and do your math. Hit up a VC to ask what the true valuation should be * Unmotivated employees. No incentive with small grants in inflated stock value. With the caliber of employees here, most leave for OpenAI, Anthropic, Anysphere etc. as they should. * Directionless. Retool leadership didn't invest in AI until recently and so the product is playing catch up. With the money we pay, no good AI engineers would ever join us so we're left following the market. Retool prides itself in being "resourceful" and the results are here to see. * Leadership has no vision. Founders seem content with a lifestyle business growing at a tiny % every year.
