Management tries to care, but it’s difficult when no one wants to work.

Cons

There is no motivation to get anything done. Everything is always a V1 and broken. The type of people who would be terrified of “di-hydrogen mono-oxide” Everyone just makes a google doc about what they want to do and never does anything. Just a lot of meetings.

Pros * there are some very smart people at this company

Cons

* Straight-up bad management. culture is toxic and fear-driven, very few managers with real management experience. if you're considering applying, please due diligence the heck out of your team, manager, and skip manager (if there is one) * Unfortunately, there's no management training or oversight, meaning that bad managers are given free reign to do as they wish without feedback or oversight (no skip managers) * no merit cycles * culture is elitist (full of ex-consultants and with elite degrees) * Lack of diversity * Example: Top leaders showed no empathy toward BLM issues until the employees appealed for a response

Pros

- Almost always internally promotes. This means that you're working for most responsibility and ownership. There's a lot of room to grow as a younger engineer - Meaningful work. Your work helps employee tens of thousands of freelancers. - Amazing team. Rev was started by a group of MIT grads and continues to only recruit the best.

Cons

- It's a startup. Company processes can have some rough edges as policies and procedures are developed. Hours can be long and expectations higher.
