Pros

As a Revolut superfan, I cannot deny the fantastic product and innovative solutions we offer to our customers. The platform is user-friendly, efficient, and truly revolutionizes the way people manage their finances. I take pride in being part of a company that is at the forefront of the fintech industry, and I am always eager to recommend Revolut to friends and family. The flexibility to work from home is a major plus for me. It allows me to achieve a better work-life balance and be more productive in my role. The remote work setup has been a significant perk, especially during challenging times.

Cons

Despite my admiration for the product, I must acknowledge that working at Revolut has been a different experience altogether. One of the most significant concerns is the lack of opportunities to develop meaningful relationships within the organization. The work culture often feels distant and detached, making it challenging to foster a sense of camaraderie with colleagues. Compensation-related issues have been a source of frustration for many employees, myself included. With rampant inflation, not receiving a raise in two years has placed financial strain on many of us. Furthermore, the company's decision to provide bonuses solely in the form of company stock, which is non-liquid until a distant IPO, adds to the uncertainty and anxiety among employees. The possibility of a lower valuation during the IPO only exacerbates these concerns. The performance review system, where employees' ratings are seemingly calibrated down each quarter, has created a demotivating environment. This practice restricts career growth and diminishes the chances of promotion and fair salary increments. The high turnover of senior employees is also alarming and raises questions about the company's ability to retain top talent.

Pros

Fast career growth (on paper at least) - and honestly that's it.

Cons

Where to begin. This place is absolutely toxic. Management point blank does not care about the mental health of employees, who are absolutely considered just numbers. Their approach is fast hire, bleed you dry and fast fire. You will likely not earn any commission during your time there (or very very little), and the majority of account executives last less than 18 months before being fired. Targets are often almost unattainable and managers are spread way too thin to provide the necessary training. Most of the 5 star reviews on glassdoor are not even legitimate (either from existing employees that are being 'encouraged' to review positively), and many are just directly from the employer branding team. Additionally, individuals that are outright nasty (especially in group slack channels) are actually encouraged/celebrated/rewarded. One particular Italian female manager is among the nastiest, and is consistently praised by the global head of sales. I know it can be an attractive offer, but read these reviews from real people who have worked there. You will end up spending 15 hours at your laptop, skipping lunches, not using the bathroom, and for what? Your base pay and being consistently demotivated by terrible upper management.

Pros

Big company where a lot of very young people can gain responsibilities.

Cons

The lack of human approach to how they interact with customers and staff. The way the sales team is run is not sustainable, it will eventually result in redundancies for staff in the UK.
