Pros

There are some highly talented yet overworked, underpaid and under appreciated employees who have brilliant ideas that would increase revenue dramatically. The overall concept of the business is very innovative and ahead of it's time when the company was first formed. For me, the location was ideal. Just a short twenty minute commute. Depending on your boss, possibly flexible with your work schedules, on occasion, should you have a doctor's appointment or a child care or transportation issue. For the most part, the "regular" employees (those below the C-Level) worked well together and made it feel like a family-type environment.

Cons

Employees were looked down upon, spoken negatively about in front of their subordinates and made to feel second-class by the C Team. Those having the final approval on budgets, employee increases or promotions, new hire requisitions, new products or services, business tax licenses or needed system enhancements are completely disconnected and clueless about what's going on in the business and what had to happen to make the business competitive again. How many restaurants are there in the United States? Hundreds of thousands, if not more? How does a company who has been in business for almost 30 years only work with approximately 11,000 of them? Being a free program, how are there only 3.2 million active members? Do you see something wrong with that picture? Most will. You always, always, always have to CYA when dealing with anyone on the C-Level. They don't know what's going on, make errors and blame those working for them. I've seen it happen many, many times. They have no ideas of their own although their employees ideas which are usually shot down suddenly materialize a few months to a year later as their own idea. The fighting and backstabbing that's done at the C-level is worse than standing in the middle of a preschool when a group of children are fighting about the one toy that's in the room. They are disrespectful to each other and to those working below them because they feel entitled. It's like a soap opera....all you need is two of them having an affair with one another and the company would win an Emmy Award. Oh wait, that's actually going on and everyone knows about it but like usual, the powers that be turn a blind eye to their unprofessional behavior.

Pros

I had an opportunity to work with wonderful, fun loving people. Not to mention that all are very smart people. It was even better during the construction of our new office. The end result of the construction was an open work space, very nice, but also it give us a opportunity to work very close with our co-workers from another office location, know whose they are and build a working/business relationship with them. While I was there, I saw how business start to trust the technical group and how we can help the business vision. My direct manager gave me great flexibility in work/life balance.

Cons

So, why I left RN, the title of my review say it all, but it only pertain to me. I have children and just want to spend more time with them and not on the train. So, it was location, location for me. The only cons is that it took upper management a very long time to approve or not approve my salary adjustment request, not sure if that still happen or not now, but that was it for me.
