healthcare and benefits are the only plus

Power Plant is in rough shape, 20 plus years of absolute years of abuse, bad work environment, ash everywhere. In 6 months never came across the union once, the company need to put money into the plant to make it run better Limping by with bad equipment. Really isnt any employee morel, lots of negatives, they always run skeleton crews and always hiring it seems like. Anybody that wants to work her - keep looking, no amount of money is worth that much frustation and mental anguish, personally can never get enough done without being judged by other operators

Great company that is helping the enviroment. Wonderful employees and management. By buring household garbage and turning it into clean renewable electricity Covanta reduces greenhouse gas as well as methane from landfills. 99% of the employees I deal with have a great attitude. Many employees have been here over 20 years and even stayed though the bankruptcy. These days helping the environment is key and working for a company that is not merely trying to sell products to people that they don't need or want is a plus for me.

Cons

Location. Between many highways and in a flood zone. Currently the building is very full and parking is difficult.
