Rex Healthcare reviews

We don't have the resources to provide quality care. Staff are overburdened and overworked. Management is focusing solely on budget and making money to the detriment of the patient and staff morale. More and more integration with UNC is slowly eroding the Rex culture, which used to be open, welcoming, and supportive. The hospital has eliminated positions. Despite morale being low, I give all the credit in the world to my coworkers who are making the best of a very difficult situation.

Rex (as part of the UHC system) is implementing Epic this year. The planning and training requirements are leaving departments short-staffed and stressed. Not great timing for a hiring freeze this past year. Also, we're noticing a change in the mood and overall culture since we've started aligning more with UNC standards. Becoming more "corporate", stratified. Morale is starting to suffer, at least from what I've noticed.
