      Not enough quality people in IT!!!

      Pros

      There is a small core of highly competent people with which to share ideas and strategies on how to better provide IT services. Salary and benefits are pretty good, not great.

      Cons

      Once you have become an IT employee at Rex, no one monitors your progress or performance. You can easily fly below the radar and not have to learn any skills or create any value. If you are exposed for being nonproductive, management's response is to give you less responsibility -- thus increasing the workload on those who do perform, or care about providing good service.

      Pros include: multiple facility sites, easy access to medical care, childcare facility on site, physician practices on site, volunteer opportunities, community relations.

      Cons

      Cons include: fewer chances of promotion for non-specialized employees, low compensation rates in comparison to living costs, and extremely large employee base.
