Pros

Good benefits, decent pay for those who wish to play the game

Cons

Bad decision making after bad decision making by upper management and Owners of Rho- which has led to multiple layoffs from a company that just decided to go global and hire new employees but now can't pay the bills so now hardworking people have to pay the price so that upper management can keep their jobs

Pros

It’s a job with insurance. Rho takes employees into account more than anywhere else I have ever worked. For example, the new building was constructed to have tons of natural light such that offices and cubes all benefit from light. Not just manager offices around the outside of each floor having windows, while everyone else gets fluorescent light. Remote working technologically supported from well before pandemic. PTO is pretty generous with no waiting period. Rho has had actual flexibility, if one's job permits and there's good communication. This is very respectful and trusting of adult employees. If you are CIS, straight, white, and attractive, you are good to go.

Cons

Rho has the same good things and bad things as all companies to one degree or another. It’s just easier to accept the negatives when there is no pretense things are otherwise. Unequal treatment and unqualified managers. Give them no more than year or two and move on.

Pros

Read any large CRO websites and you’ll come across words like “power,” “driving change,” “streamlining” and “data-driven.” These are great concepts in and of themselves but how are these executed in the cultures of these companies? Frankly, I’ve met enough people who have worked at several of these companies to not want to experience the answer firsthand. Rho stands behind the company’s values and is truly focused on improving our industry, providing the best solutions to clients and taking care of and doing right by our people. My best friends work with me at Rho and have for years. I have the opportunities to learn and grow as much as I want. The autonomy that is possible here, the level of achievement and the deeper meaning behind this work that are offered at Rho is rare and exceptional.

Cons

Rho is not for everyone. If you are someone who needs a ton of structure, lots of layers of line management support, or very clear direction for what to do next, you probably won’t be happy at Rho. This isn’t to say these are bad things but they’re just not Rho. The flat organizational structure and project-based focus definitely causes lots of challenges and headaches. These challenges necessitate that Rho only hire people who are creative self-starters and the people who are the most successful here are the ones who offer great solutions or debate in healthy ways about solutions to our challenges. People who complain without offering a solution just won’t fit in.
