Great concept for a company

Pros

The ideas behind the company - collaboration, smart people, work-life balance - are all good. There are lots of great co-workers there and nice perks like concierge service and inviting office space. They talk a lot about maintaining company culture and have employee events throughout the year. Benefits are very competitive for a company this size, and salaries are not the highest, but still fair. Offer an annual employee bonus based on company profitability.

Cons

If you are in the good graces of senior management, it's fine. But once it's been decided that you made a mistake, or "don't fit", it's best to get out fast. Opportunities are often based on favorites, not ability. The emphasis on in-office interactions means that regular teleworking is generally frowned upon, except for certain situations or people. And each part of the company is really different from the other in terms of opportunities, workload, and interactions - some places are better than others.

Pros

- Remote options were good - Very nice office and location - Good perks in the office - Smart people working on the team

Cons

I have worked for some major brands and companies in my career. This was my first healthcare related role. I have only seen one company act and run a company as they do. The entire senior management is out of touch with reality. The CEO, who is family to the founders, is one of the worst speakers I have ever encountered. The organization is very flat, which means you really won't find a career path here. You will likely work the same job for 10+ years if you're lucky (as many have already), but as they are not doing well since COVID-19, you can expect to be laid off like many of the new and existing workers have. Layoffs are apart of the business. It happens. This is not my issue with the company. My issue is the fact they keep losing out on new business. This is because again, senior leadership is so out of touch. I wouldn't waste your time.

Lack of structure and support

Pros

Opportunities for growth that may not be present in a larger CRO. Company may be good for someone with a lot of experience who wants to do things their own way.

Cons

Aggressive, inconsiderate, condescending management style is rewarded. I heard a manager explicitly say the expectations of the CRAs were not realistic, but they have to do it because it is their job. There is no consistent vision or values. Most things are made up as you go.
