Pros

The appearance of structure, diversity, and intelligence.

Cons

Very cliquey, high-school culture. My manager was passive-aggressive and so were other employees. (ie. ccing the boss when I would make mistakes, but removing the cc when I would point out other's mistakes). After I gave my notice, I planned on going to Asia to visit family and move out of NC. On my exit interview, the HR rep asked me "So I heard you were going back to to live with your mother". Mind you, I was born here. I thought that was a bit presumptuous.

Pros

friendly and professional employees, opportunities for growth, managers listen, definitely has work life balance. Senior management was restructured and the company is on it's way up as a result.

Cons

can't complain. the pay is only a little bit less compared to the larger CROs in the area but its not significant enough to make a transition.

Pros

For people who are hired in at an entry level, there are several career tracks and opportunities that you could go into if business need will allow. Great way to get your foot in the door with a CRO and figure out your direction. During my time at Rho I have been able to work in several roles which has made me grow and expand in my knowledge of clinical research management. Rho has a career path and roles/levels so it is clear what the next step in career advancement is. Great people. I feel like Rho tries really hard to be transparent in corporate and strategic decision making and structural changes. They took employee input very seriously when designing the new corporate headquarters. Other companies may have surveyed, but not gone to the lengths to develop something that the employees would like. Rho has re-structured leadership and departments several times since I have been at Rho. They are not afraid of trying something new or adapting if the structure is not working.

Cons

Went through a period of time where systems were lacking, but over the last few years Rho has invested in standard clinical trial systems and has put effort into implementing and constant improvement. Performance evaluations and career conversations are not always transparent depending on who you have as your manager. Employees are empowered to take their career growth into their own hands and be proactive and advocate for themselves, which can sometimes cause frustration if it's not clear how to get to the next level. Despite economic/workforce challenges, I think
