Pros

Good place to get started on a career right out of school. Fair amount of autonomy.

Cons

Salary is below industry standards. Experienced people don’t do well here. Very clique-ish. Promotions and raises have more to do with whether you are in the clique than merit. Leadership has no idea what is going on in their company. They spend all their time talking to one another and not spend time learning about what their employees are doing. Sector leads are ‘responsible’ for too many people many of whom they have no idea what they do every day. Leaders have no management experience. Flat structure is a disaster. I heard it said before and it is true, If they decide you aren’t a good fit it is best to get out fast. Some toxic leaders contribute to a negative work environment.

Pros

Superior company to work for overall! There is a multitude of respect, compassion, and encouragement here at Rho. Work-life balance is definitely practiced and career growth/development is constantly on the horizon as long as you are willing to be proactive and put in the work, which is the way it should be (in my opinion!). In reading some of the other reviews posted here I have to say many were rather disappointing. Rho is undergoing change in certain areas of the company which is difficult for some and quite frankly you just simply cannot please every single person in any given scenario!

Cons

I wouldn't necessarily call it a con, but being that Rho highly values intelligent people it can sometimes feel like you are constantly wondering if you have as much to offer to the company as your colleagues next to you. But this is certainly motivation to never stop learning and gaining knowledge!

Pros

Great people, good benefits, decent work-life balance (depending on your project), easy to move up quickly within junior roles.

Cons

Company is very cliquish and hard work and skill alone will not move you forward once you progress above the junior roles. There is no formal performance review structure in place and promotions are given based on favoritism. Company pays less than market because it used to have a culture that was worth sacrificing a bit of salary for, but this is no longer the case. Upper management is disorganized and in over its head; Rho has grown too big for it's management structure and is not proactively mitigating the issue.
