Pros

Great location in the heart of Houston. Wonderful camaraderie amongst entry-level employees. Highly knowledgeable and helpful middle management. If you are willing to stay, promotions are available.

Cons

Very little training. With very high turnover, it was difficult to find someone with reliable answers. Senior management showed little regard for entry-level employees. Prohibitive office structure and many communication issues. Huge time demands compared to admission counselors at other universities.

Nice city and place. Rice is a well-known university in Houston, probably the best in Houston. Working environment is good.

Cons

Small department. If you have met some problem, it is not so easy to find others help you out. Other is fine.

Great faculty, great reputation, and great pay for engineering graduate students. I particularly enjoy the beautiful campus at Rice University

Cons

Not too many to think of. Some professors are tough to work with, some professors don't teach well. That's common in all universities, though.
