Pros

Decent healthcare benefits On-site cafeteria and fitness center Walking path around property Casual dress code Many great co-workers

Cons

Terrible leadership! CEO uses the business for his own personal gain and enjoyment Horrible pay! Horrible raises that don’t even account for inflation or the work you do! No opportunity for advancement Greedy and unethical management Lack of diversity Lack of communication Did I mention the horrible pay?

Pros

I've worked at a handful of electronics manufacturers. Richardson is unique to me. They have a cafeteria which has okay food. Everyone is very friendly for the most part. Overall, it's a good and interesting place to work. Especially if they address the cons.

Cons

There are several different departments so I can only address my own. The disorganization is really bad. From the inventory, to the documentation, to just about everything. I spend waaaaay too much time running around that factory trying to solve some stupid problem instead of in my seat doing my job. My immediate manager knows almost nothing about electronics manufacturing (I'm not sure that he cares to learn either) so you are left to bug the engineers, other employees or just hope for the best when it comes to a lot of assembly or quality concerns. Speaking of quality. It really bugs me that there is no quality processes put in place other than testing. Almost everything that I assemble, even things we are building for the first time, are only seen by my eyes. I build it, test it and then pack it up for shipping. It's just weird.
