Pros

The company is highly ethical. They truly seek to serve their customers, stand by their products, support their own employees, and do the right thing.

Cons

The company tends to be conservative (which is a pro and a con). They typically don't make dumb rash moves, but they are slow in implementing their internal IT systems, and they are not as aggressive as they could be in investing and reinvesting into their current and future business and markets.

Pros

Richardson electronics is a company which believes in having a good life. Everyone is paid a decent salary and employees are treated as people first. Advancement is slow but good, education is encouraged and those who sell well are treated very well.

Cons

slower moving company with slower technology. headquartered in IL, travel is mandatory if you work in outlaying areas.

Pros

Work Life Balance Decent benefits OK salary compared to similar size companies and location This is a pit stop if you dont know which career direction you want to take for couple of years.

Cons

Bunch of morons at the director level with no foresight to see technology as an enabler in the current bad economic condition People who been here for the last 20+ years have been grandfathered in to their titles and have no real world experience except for very few. Mom & pop shop type mentality and members of management don’t think they are answerable to share holders other than Chairman. Internal politics and personnel agenda of a few is affecting the growth of this company.
