      Pros

      Work at Rimkus is incredibly varied and interesting. Forensic work draws from many trades allowing a lot of on the job learning. Work also involves travel to interesting places. The assets of Rimkus ensure that there are other professionals to support your projects.

      Cons

      Sometimes schedules are demanding. Sometimes odd projects require you to go a little out of your comfort zone, but that is when you learn the most.

      Great office location, facilities and parking

      Cons

      Supervisor who had no clue how to do the work or how to manage effectively without playing favorites. Favoritism is the only way to be promoted not the quality of the work or job performance. Management out of touch with what was actually happening in the office.

      The job was very different than the job I interviewed for. I was told I would be very busy and there was potential for bonuses because of that. Very little work was sent my way and I received criticism that my billable time was low. I had to cold call other engineers to ask for work. I ended up doing a number of technician level jobs outside my area of engineering specialty just to make up billable time. On top of that, it was the most toxic work environment I have ever experienced. I have never been so professionally or personally unhappy in a job.
