Pros

Hourly pay is decent but always understaffed. Retail hours open late and on weekends.

Cons

Doesn't offer good benefits. Have to work minimum hours to qualify.

Expects a lot for a little.

Pros

Flexible hours. 20 % employee discount. There's a fast track to managment for those who are reliable workers.

Cons

The 20% employee discount cannot be used in conjunction with other sales. In essence employees get the same discount as loyal customers who participate in their loyalty program. Understaffed thus expecting a lot for little. RA says they are concerned about the employees safety but they are happy to see staff work overnight hours in their stores without complete security guard coverage. Because there is a fast track to managment any one who shows for their shifts and on time (reliable) can be come a manger even if they have no innate leadership/people skills.

Don't Expect the World

Pros

Because they only pay minimum wage, when a hard working employee starts, he or she will stand out, and there will be room for growth up to a managers position.

Cons

The job is life consuming. Upper management continuously sets higher expectations while cutting payroll. Because they pay minimum wage, you tend to be stuck with who only do the bare minimum, leaving a bulk of the work to be completed by management. After becoming a manager, there is very little room for growth.
