Pros

I started many years ago as an entry-level employee. Immediately, I was treated as family. I had an innate nature to keep my head down and do what was expected of me and more. That type of work ethic helped me grow in responsibilities, salary and position after putting in my time to learn the business and the market we engage. Hard work and passion for learning are highly valued at Rivel. New ideas are encouraged and access to senior management is always welcome.

Cons

The nature of the business we conduct is mostly project based, so there are months of the year when we are extremely busy. Naturally, this can be frustrating and overwhelming. Sometimes you have work a bit on vacation or on a day off, but again, that is the nature of the business.

Pros

Family run. Every employee is part of that family (from the newest hire to the most experienced veterans). Owners truly care about each and every employee. Great people. Down-to-earth people who know how to work hard and play hard. People who actually care about what's going on in your life (personally and professionally). Team atmosphere. Everyone willing to stop what they're doing to help, including top executives. Also, everyone's opinions are valued from day one. Career advancement. If you put your head down, think strategically and are career oriented, there's plenty of room for growth (both in terms of promotions and compensation). Great benefits. Large majority of insurance covered. 401k contributions most years. Generous vacation/personal time offered. Awesome holiday parties! All around great place to work. Have truly enjoyed my time at Rivel. Makes it easy to get out of bed every morning and come to work!

Cons

Outside of normal work/life balance issues and occasional fires that have to be put out, no real cons to speak of.

Pros

There are Great people here and I think that's the best thing about the company. the work is interesting but a really niche part of consulting/advisory. Interesting projects.

Cons

Not a lot of growth opportunities. Fun culture and people but I saw some people be treated pretty badly in my time there in ways that were not ok
