Exits poorly managed

Pros

TAS work life balance is favorable to competitor lifestyle. Good exposure to generic and small high level M&A deals.

Cons

No industry depth, can't keep people who have these quals. Management will take it personal and act childish when you leave the firm, regardless of your tenure or production to their pockets. Bonuses are essentially nonexistent, even with directly contributed double digit annual revenue growth. Complete inequality, leadership should be embarrassed. They burn bridges with top talent departures, even when people leave to far better career paths. Such a shame to do this, very nearsighted, immature, and selfish. Many alumni feel this way and will never forget. A few individuals to show their true colors ruined everything.

Riveron Response

We are glad to hear that you had a favorable experience with work-life balance while at Riveron. We strive to be a family friendly firm. Riveron was pleased to pay out significantly larger bonuses this year than in the past due to the updated 2017 bonus plan. We value your feedback as it relates to your departure and it is unfortunate you feel this way after 5 years with the firm. If you would be open to discussing your experience, we would appreciate the feedback for continued improvement. Thank you, Riveron.

Pros

Noticeable culture difference compared to big four. Company puts people first, listens to employees, and includes employees at all levels in each aspect of the business. Professional development is a priority and it feels like someone is always looking after you. Do not get lost in the crowd or feel like just a number. Feels like a big family with lots of social events and happy hours. Employees are rewarded for working hard and recognized for reaching professional goals and contributing to the firm, in a monetary and non-monetary way. Lots of smart people and great place to learn, grow and feel like your work is making a difference to clients and to the Company.

Cons

Similar advisory work to big four but a less known name. Less time set aside for training than a larger company which can be difficult, particularly for people switching service lines. The Company is starting to do more service line trainings though. Will work long hours but this is more due to the industry than the Company and relative to competitors feels a bit less intense.
