Pros

Most of the people are friendly and helpful The CEO has tried to create a culture of caring for each other like family Free parking $5 parking / day right across the street, by the church

Cons

They don’t tell potential employees that the “paid holidays” actually mean you will be using accrued PTO to pay yourself for the holidays Very rapid turnover of staff leading to resentment in people precepting the new hires - they then make the new hires feel unwelcome Upper management (the one I reported to) was very unprofessional and created a hostile work environment for the person I replaced; when that person left, the same thing was done to me. No one wants to talk to HR because of retaliation, which HR says they will investigate. I will update this review if I ever hear back from them. New hires earn more than the current staff, creating employee dissatisfaction.

Pros

Amazing learning opportunities Competitive pay New grad preceptorship ER nurses and staff overall are team oriented, supportive of new grads, hardworking, kind and knowledgeable

Cons

Management is a revolving door Some CNCs are not supportive/receptive to new grads The learning curve is very steep Patient acuity is often too high to stay in ratio Equipment is often broken, unavailable Preceptorship requires a lot of time to work on projects or show up to classes that feel unnecessary and create frustration and burnout MDs, especially admitting, can be rude, are often unavailable, and are never held to the same standards as nursing staff.
