Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback for us. While we’re happy to hear you see potential here at Ro, but sorry to know that there are still unresolved frustrations and concerns with the layoffs that occurred last month.
We own and acknowledge that the message about layoffs shifted over the course of the last few months. Back in April, when we announced some initial changes to the business, we did say that at that time, we were not planning on layoffs – because, at that time, we were not. We thought those initial changes would be sufficient. Unfortunately, as market conditions continued to rapidly shift, we, along with many other companies, had to make tough decisions to protect the business long term. In terms of how quickly people were exited from the company, due to our obligation to protect patient healthcare information, we were unfortunately not able to give impacted Ro’ers a long transition period. We wish it were different, and we know that the vast majority of departing Ro’ers would have been nothing but professional, but this was a decision we had to make for the security of our patients.
If you’d like to discuss further, please reach out to the People Team at people@ro.co - we’d love to continue the conversation and hopefully reach a place where you can feel more informed about and comfortable with how the layoffs were handled.
