Not a good company

Pros

Benefits, if you can keep them.

Cons

I'd steer clear unless you've never worked in health care of any sort and have limited call experience. Management is terrible on a 50/50 scale. They all seemed nice at first but you can tell some of them have a high horse attitude with a big sass to fit the class. The company rips people off and pivot from project to project not really knowing what they are doing. It's a cash grab race to the newest trend. Unlimited PTO is a funny one here. Good luck getting your days without having to spiel your entire personal plans and then arguing for the time off after they get nosey. It's just a micromanaging, cash grabbing, money hungry company. They really aren't helping patients in any different way than other companies out there are.

Not seeing a lot of promise here

Pros

Benefits are very good including time off with pay.

Cons

This is where the road seems to get a little rough. First 2 weeks of training were good and then they realized they were overwhelmed and needed all hands on deck and cut the training short. Everyone seemed very nice at first but then the atmosphere shifted to stressful. I understand a startup needs their teams to be flexible but situations continue to arise leaving it to feel more chaotic than "still in a learning phase". Glassdoor reviews from last year are making me feel very nervous about a future here now. I overlooked the reviews having come from a startup background. But, now the red flags are showing. The system is a bit antiquated and overloaded with way too many apps to accomplish one task. Understandable that this is a pharma company but, it slows the system down considerably leaving everyone in limbo for way too long, especially customers. And that's not good. Many customers leave daily and I'm sure many more will continue to leave. This is a scary time to be looking for a new job. However, I just don't see longevity here for a lot of people. There is a shortage of pharmaceuticals right now and leading customers to believe they'll get theirs while charging the membership fees while they are left waiting is not good business. And having no good retention plan means more loss than gain. Just not a good situation, sad to say.

Thank you for taking the time to write the review. I’m sorry you had a frustrating onboarding experience. I’m not sure exactly when you joined but I know that early summer was a particularly difficult period with the national GLP-1 drug shortages. Hopefully you have settled a bit more into your role. If you’re up for it, I’d love to hear any feedback you have on what we could do better. Also happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our company strategy. Pros

Nice office space, good coworkers (aside from people at the top).

Cons

Company morale is low, things never really recovered after the RIF last year. Plus additional layoffs kept under the radar since then have everyone still on edge. Hard to trust leadership given immaturity and repeated missteps. And the latest emphasis on weight loss feels like a reverse robin hood story, we're making these drugs available for the rich, but the news keeps saying they are in short supply. Feels wrong.

I’m so sorry to hear that you haven’t been having a great experience at Ro. It’s true that we had to make some tough decisions with regard to team size and structure last year, and like any company in today’s climate, we have continued to make changes on a smaller scale if and when needed. We’ve always been transparent about this with those immediately impacted and all leadership team members receive talking points to share context with their teams about changes of any size. If you’re willing to talk, it would help to learn more about what immaturity and missteps you’ve been observing - I’d love to learn if there are specific areas where we can improve. I’d also love to talk more about your perception of the Ro Body program - the way we’re approaching this actually increases access vs limiting it to a select few. If you’re up for talking further, feel free to email or Slack me at any time. Best, Saman Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer
