Pros

Robert Half is a very strong place to start a career. The hierarchy is non-existant making job progression very fair and attainable. I feel like I am truly working with the best and brightest. I also received MBA reimbursement which was a big plus after those two expensive years. Travel is not too bad, especially for the industry and the compensation and benefits are pretty good. I'd say in-line with market or even slightly above. I have no complaints in that department although bonuses can be on the conservative side. Other benefits are great and all in all Robert Half is a great place to build a career.

Cons

There are definitely a few negatives to Robert Half. My office in Chicago seems a bit old and plain while those in New York are said to be nicer. My computer was just recently updated but before that I had the same one for 5+ years. IT can also be hard to reach in times of need. Some of the upper level managers have serious ego problems but that is to be expected in the financial sector. The hours can be a bit long, especially during busy times so those in search of a "lifestyle" job should look elsewhere. I'm talking 60-90 hours depending on the week.

Pros

Very good place to train.

Cons

Biggest competition is internal with other divisions. Management predominantly come from the Office Team and Accountemps divisions because people there make more money for their skill set than other divisions, so they stay. But to have someone straight out of school whose only experience is in RHI managing people with close to 20 years of managmenet experience is a joke.

Pros

If you want to be thrown to the lions then this job is for you.

Cons

Unrealistic goals, unprofessional coworkers, no room for creativity or innovation. If you have your own style of sales that isn't Robert Half's then you are as good as gone. This place was a machine. You must make overly aggressive goals of 65 calls a day when you first start. This does not allow for you to call someone and build rapport with them and ultimately win their business. If you take more than 10min on a call then you won't have time to meet the rest of the day's goals and will get admonished by your manager and considered a low performer. Very few clients will want to talk to you due to the insane amount of calls they've received from your predecessors. I called hundreds of leads and very few wanted to work with Robert Half based on the overly aggressive non personal way the sales reps had treated them.
