Pros

As a young professional I have had the opportunity to work in a few different environments. What stood out for me the most at Rochester is the strong role models and leadership I have been given. I love my job and what I do, but I could work for any company. The support I have found here at Rochester is irreplaceable and will help me to grow professionally and become the leader I want to be. In operations we all work together to achieve a shared goal and purpose. Our team is fairly new in a very short time we have been able to come together and work in a collaborative environment. We lean on one another when we need it and trust one another to share our ideas and our thoughts. I love that my team feels like a family and I love working on a collaborative team. We are a global team and the diversity and comradery to achieve a shared goal has been a rewarding aspect of this job! I highly recommend employment at this company

Cons

The only con for me is the commute given that I live 45 minutes away. It is well worth the commute to be in a job I enjoy

Pros

REI is a great company where the management team supports upward growth and listens when you bring new ideas to the table. They are family oriented and have programs to support a single full time working parent with preschool tuition discounts, time off, flexible schedules, health benefits. The health programs are great and very inexpensive too. The company is growing and you can see as they grow they give back to their employees. You can see this by how they have been so flexible with parents staying home and dealing with children at home during Covid-19. I love my job so much that I've recommended a position to my friend and she has been with the company for almost a year now too.

Cons

I can not think of a con, but more vacation time is always a good thing. Even though we get a great amount of time off.
