lots of core facilities and resources to hasten research.

not a super collaborative environment, overall, though individual labs may be collaborative.

The core facilities are well equipped to perform cutting edge research and the faculty are very successful award winners.

Cons

It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to the train station.

Pros

Rockefeller has a wonderful work culture, especially great for recent college grads. The Research Assistant position is a great way to gain experience, and there are a lot of opportunities for learning outside the lab (lunch lectures, visiting scientists, etc) and also for socializing (there is a bar on campus, labs often have bbqs in the summer, and people are generally friendly).

Your work experience can vary widely depending on your supervisor or the particular lab you are in
