As a former Mr. Cooper employee I’m on their transition team. Scheduled to be laid off in Q3 ‘26. They make us do two half day orientations to tell us how great the company is. Also, no raise this year due to transition status. So I’ll give them a bare bones minimum effort during transition then collect my severance.

The technology organization is reorganized on a fairly regularly basis, which isn’t inherently negative, but it does mean you have to be comfortable with change - new leaders, new team mates, new business domain, etc. Personally I like the occasional change of scenery. It’s an enterprise software engineering role so there’s going to be more processes and red tape than you might find at a smaller company or startup, but much less than I’ve seen at other enterprise companies.
